Red Rock Park is the crown jewel of Gallup’s parks and recreation system. Cradled by spectacular red cliffs formed over 200 million years ago in the Age of the Dinosaurs, the park combines a glimpse into past civilizations with modern amenities to serve the needs of contemporary residents and guests.

Facilities

Convention Center

The Red Rock Park Convention center has 5 available rooms for event/meeting rentals. There is a Dining Room (100-person capacity), two Conference Rooms which can be conjoined into one larger room (35-person capacity each, 75 when conjoined) and a large Auditorium with a stage if needed (500-person capacity). Rodeo Grounds / Horse Stalls

Red Rock Park is home to events such as Wild Thing Championship Bull Riding, Best of the Best Rodeo, Lions Club Rodeo and the world famous Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial. Our arena seats 5,000 people and is well suited for outdoor performances such as rodeos, motocross events and more. The lighted arena can be configured for rough stock and timed event performances as well as motocross tracks and other types of events. There are also permanent horse stalls located in 4 areas of the park (Main & West Campgrounds, Lower South Parking Area and next to the Arena). Museum / Park Office

Located next to the Convention Center is a Museum filled with Native American art, jewelry, rugs and pottery. The Park Office is also located inside the museum. Museum hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.

Campgrounds

Red Rock Park facilities include two campgrounds (Main and West) with electric and water hookups, picnic areas, and on-site bathrooms and showers. There is also a Post Office located in the Main Campground. Reservations are required, for more information please call 505-722-3839 or email the Campgrounds. The Red Rock Park Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. On weekends please leave a voicemail on the office phone and a staff member will return your call.

Events

  • Wild Thing Bull Riding Championship will be held July 9th and 10th, 2021 - tickets can be purchased at Castle Furniture in Gallup, NM
  • Kicker Arenacross will be held July 16th and 17th, 2021 - visit the Kicker Arenacross website for more information
  • 99th Annual Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial will take place August 12th through August 15th 

Please note the Red Rock Park Convention Center will not be open to Events until August 2021. The Red Rock Park Office will start accepting new event requests on July 19th, 2021 for the remainder of the 2021 year. If you'd like to book an event for the 2022 calendar year, event bookings will open on November 1st, 2021. Please call the park office for more information.
